Commitment to Community
One of the cornerstones of Beta Theta Pi is a dedication to mutual assistance. The chapter expects each member to strive to make a meaningful contribution to his university, fraternal and local communities. Our responsibility to community extends beyond philanthropy, calling for Betas to give their time to the service of their communities. The chapter provides opportunities for our members to get involved through numerous partnerships with local service organizations and by hosting several major philanthropy events each year.
One of Beta Theta Pi’s favorite events is the Beta Theta Pi in the Face philanthropy event. This is where members of the USD community can raise money for the charitable cause of choice by tossing a pie into the face of one of the brothers of the fraternity.
