The men of Beta Theta Pi consistently strive to elevate the standards of the Greek community. Through a steady recruitment of well-known and well-rounded men, the USD Chapter of Beta has developed into a locally and nationally acclaimed chapter. Beta was recently awarded the Dean's Trophy for Fraternity Excellence and Greek New Member of the Year, two of the highest forms of recognition within the USD fraternity community. In 2011, the North-American Interfraternity Conference recognized our chapter with the Award of Distinction, the highest honor for any fraternity chapter in North America.
The awards and recognitions are fantastic, but what do they mean? It means we are doing the right things and have some great individuals. Get to know us better during the semester and the upcoming Spring 2016 Rush.
The Spring 2017 semester is upon us, and its beginning marks the start of USD’s Greek Life recruitment weeks. The Fraternal Rush period begins on February 5th and ends on February 14th with Bid Day. This will be a time for all prospective members to discover the organization that best suits their talents and interests. The members of Beta Theta Pi are marking this year’s rush as a celebration—one that commemorates our 178 years as a great and good fraternity and 13 years as a USD chapter as well as the accomplishments made during our existence. We Betas stand for many things, but leaving a lasting brotherhood is among the highest of priorities. We are so proud of what we have done so far, and look forward to new members taking part in our journey to bettering ourselves, our brothers, and our communities. Our members are greatly looking forward to meeting many new men who wish to join in on the brotherhood that we at San Diego have spent the last decade building and enjoying. Get excited for Spring 2017 Rush. It’s time to celebrate.

Since August 8, 1839, over 200,000 men have chosen to join Beta Theta Pi, one of the oldest active fraternities. For over 170 years, young men like yourself have been given the opportunity to be part of the premier fraternity on campus. Together, Betas are successful in the classroom, on the athletic field, and in the world beyond college. Being a Beta is a lifelong experience.
