Beta Toast & Family Weekend
The Zeta Omega chapter will hold its Beta Toast and Family Weekend on April 27 & 28, 2024. This annual chapter tradition was started in 2005 by the founders of our chapter to celebrate the successes of the past year as well as to honor and recognize those who have had a positive impact on our chapter and community.
BETA SWEETHEART BRUNCH - Saturday Afternoon
The chapter is excited to host our annual Beta Sweetheart Brunch for our mothers, sisters, grandmothers, and the special sweethearts in our lives at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice Garden of the Sea at the University of San Diego from 11am-1pm. Our members are excited to serenade guests with Beta songs, honor graduating seniors, and recognize the support these special women have provided to our fraternity experience. The cost to attend this event is $45 per attendee including per each Beta undergraduate attending with his guest(s).
BETA TOAST - Saturday Night
The Beta Toast will be held Saturday evening from 5 to 7pm in the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice at the University of San Diego. All family members, alumni, special guests, and Friends of Beta Theta Pi are invited to attend the Toast. Dress is cocktail attire. The reception will begin at 5:00 pm in the KIPJ Garden of the Sky & Rotunda with a variety of appetizers served. The program will begin at 6:00 pm in the KIPJ Theater located in the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice. There is no cost to attend this event.
Award recognition includes Alumnus of the Year, Beta Sweetheart, Faculty of the Year, Campus Impact, Interfraternalism Beta, Theta, & Pi awards for members who excelled in service, academics, and brotherhood, and the coveted Beta Theta Pi of the Year award presented annually to an Outstanding Senior.
Beta FAMILY BBQ & CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT - Sunday Afternoon
The annual family BBQ and Cornhole tournament will be held this year at the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens located in Liberty Station from 12-2pm. The Cornhole tournament is limited to teams consisting of one family member and one member of Beta but all guests are welcome to attend the BBQ. Cost to attend is $35 per person.
LEGACY FUND
An opportunity drawing will be held during the Beta Toast to raise money for our Legacy Fund and Zeta Omega Scholarship Fund. All proceeds raised will be used to sponsor chapter members to attend Beta Theta Pi’s award winning leadership experiences this summer or to provide needs based scholarships to offset member dues. If you would like to donate a prize for the drawing, please contact us at alumni@sdbeta.org. All donors will receive special recognition during the Toast.

While donations of any amount are appreciated, please note the following suggested gift levels: Copper $25, Bronze $50, Silver $100, Gold $250, Platinum $500, Diamond $1,000.
