Our Mission

The University of San Diego Chapter of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity is dedicated to aiding the gifted children of Perkins Elementary in their quest to fulfilling their bright lives. The members of Beta Theta Pi spend their days at Perkins Elementary in order to tutor and support these wonderful students. Furthermore, our flagship philanthropy event, Letters to Perkins, allows for all members of the USD community to come together to write letters to every single one of the 400 students of Perkins Elementary. We are writing these letters in order to show these students that we genuinely care for them and hope to see them flourishing in their academic careers in the future.

Questions / Logistics

We are always looking for more volunteers for Perkins Elementary. Members of Beta Theta Pi attend tutoring every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3 PM-4 PM, and Tuesdays from 1 PM-2PM. Please reach out to our Vice President of Community Outreach for more information about our work.
