Legacy

Thanks to the generosity of alumni, parents, and friends of Beta, the Zeta Omega chapter continues to benefit greatly from participation in Beta’s leadership programs including the Wooden Institute and General Convention. The chapter offers scholarships each year from the locally administered Legacy Fund which was generously established by former Chapter President Keaton Tomlin, San Diego ’08, to commemorate the chapter’s installation in 2007 and endow a fund that would enable future generations of Betas to participate in undergraduate leadership experiences. This fund is sustained by donations and by commitments made by Zeta Omegas for the limited edition Corum watches that Brother Tomlin and his family provided for the chapter.

You can click here to make a donation or a watch payment at any time online (credit/debit cards and e-checks are accepted, no account is necessary), or mail a check made out to the Zeta Omega Legacy Fund to the chapter’s mailing address. For more information, please email leadership@sdbeta.org.  Thank you for your generosity!

If you would prefer to make a tax deductible contribution to the General Fraternity Foundation, you can also specify that your donation be applied to the San Diego / Zeta Omega Chapter Fund to directly sponsor members of the Zeta Omega chapter who attend leadership opportunities.

Purchase a Beta Brick

With a gift of $350 to the Beta Theta Pi Foundation’s Beta Leadership Fund, you can secure a place in Beta history with an engraved commemorative brick placed in the Zeta Omega / San Diego section of the walkway at the Beta Administrative Office in Oxford, Ohio. A brick is the perfect way for an undergraduate or alumni to honor their membership. For Beta parents, it makes a perfect gift for a graduating senior.

The Beta Walkway is one of the most visited areas in the Fraternity, as thousands of alumni, undergraduates, and Friends of Beta travel to Oxford annually for initiation, road trips, and various leadership development programs. Each brick is engraved with the person’s name, school, and graduation year, and it is placed alongside other loyal Betas from the same chapter.
